Coreland Teams #GiveBack at OC’s Working Wardrobes

News

Coreland Companies is committed to supporting the communities in which we live, work, manage and lease! Recently our team proudly spent a day #givingback at Working Wardrobes, an Orange County-based non-profit agency that empowers men and women overcoming difficult challenges to confidently enter the workforce and achieve self-sufficiency.

Splitting time over two days, our team sorted through more than 50 racks of donated professional clothing. With three full-time Working Wardrobes staff members typically assigned to the task, Coreland’s efforts saved the organization a month’s effort.

In addition, the team organized an in-house clothing drive and gathered more than 250 pieces of men’s and women’s suits, shirts, blouses, skirts, dresses, slacks, shoes and accessories to donate.

“We have a little over 100 Companies that donate with clothing drives and sponsorship, and those donations help over 5,000 clients per year,” shared Khinsey Vong, Volunteer & Community Engagement Manager. “We are so proud of this work and the companies that support us!”

Working Wardrobes provides career development services, skills training, job placement assistance and professional wardrobes. The organization helps 4,500 people annually get back to work with self-esteem and dignity. Donations of gently-used professional clothing are the primary resource, and clothes not used are sold through The Hanger, a resale boutique whose sales fund Working Wardrobes efforts.
