CC_WW_Drive(March 13, 2014) Coreland Companies team members collected more than 250 pieces of professional clothing on behalf of Working Wardrobes, an Orange County-based non-profit agency that empowers men and women overcoming difficult challenges to confidently enter the workforce and achieve self-sufficiency.

During a two-week clothing drive, employees based in all five Southern California Coreland offices gathered together racks and boxes of men’s and women’s suits, shirts, blouses, skirts, dresses, slacks, shoes and accessories. Working Wardrobes Director of Corporate Relations Carol Morrisey was on hand to receive the donation on Thursday at WW headquarters.

CC_WW_Drive_2“We have a little over 100 Companies that donate with clothing drives and sponsorship, and those donations help over 5,000 clients per year,” shared Morrisey. “We are so proud of this work and the companies that support us!”

Working Wardrobes provides career development services, skills training, job placement assistance and professional wardrobes. Beneficiaries come from over 70 referral agencies such as shelters, Welfare to Work and the Department of Rehabilitation throughout Los Angeles County, Orange County and the Inland Empire.

The organization helps 4,500 people annually get back to work with self-esteem and dignity. Donations of gently-used professional clothing are the primary resource, and clothes not used are sold through The Hanger, a resale boutique whose sales fund Working Wardrobes efforts.
