Compton Initiative’s Community Clean-Up Day brought out hundreds of volunteers on Saturday, Oct. 19, to work from dusk to dawn. Beautification projects across the city, including painting, landscaping, gardening, tree-trimming and litter removal, filled the day and impacted local families, churches, schools and centers.
The ownership and management team of Compton Towne Center was proud to be a central destination for the day’s activities.
Among the highlights, volunteers contributed to the painting of two murals by local artist Mel Depaz for the community to enjoy at Compton Town Center. Local employment opportunities were also showcased at a Job Fair hosted by the center’s tenants and other local businesses.
