Cheryl Todd Honored as IREM Orange County’s 2014 Retail Real Estate Professional of the Year

Cheryl_IREM-AwardIRVINE, CALIF. Cheryl Todd, Coreland Companies’ Vice President of Real Estate Management, was honored by the Orange County chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) at the Awards and Installation Gala held Oct. 22 in Irvine.

Todd was recognized as the 2014 Retail Real Estate Professional of the Year. Presented by President Sam Chanin and President Elect Michael Brown, honorees were acknowledged as the ‘Best of the Best’ in each discipline for the contributions made to their teams, properties and clients. Annual award recipients are selected by a committee of peers in the real estate industry.

Among the honorees, Elias Perez of The REMM Group received the multifamily award, Brianna McHenry of RiverRock Real Estate was honored in the office category and Shane Flanigan of PM Realty Group was recognized with the industrial award. Awards were also presented to property managers at the operational/site level, as well as for various categories at the membership level.

Under Todd’s leadership, Corland’s property management team overseas a portfolio of 7 million square feet of primarily retail properties positioned throughout Southern California. The portfolio consists of 70-plus properties accounting for more than 1,500 tenant spaces.

Todd has helped shape the commercial real estate industry through years of dedicated service and participation in the Orange County Chapter of IREM. Through IREM, she has held a number of positions on the Executive Council and ongoing leadership team, including Vice President of Programs, Member Services, and board member for the IREM Southern California Real Estate Conference. She has been instrumental in program development for local chapter events and the annual conference, and also helped to realign the shape of the conference to better respond to the economic challenges.
